It is time to go to Novokamenka - a village located on the hill of Ale 40 kilometers from Khabarovsk. After all, it is here that the Stone Waterfalls are located – a place where the rocks are like frozen water.

To begin, we will have a trip along the picturesque Tunguska River, which is the left tributary of the mighty Amur. Novokamenka is like an island cut off from the rest of the world by water. Therefore, the way here lies through the river, and during the trip I will tell you what the peculiarities of this village are and tell it a small, but rather interesting story. Upon arrival, we will first walk to the "Waterfalls", which, although not officially, are one of the wonders of the Khabarovsk Territory. More than 5 thousand years ago, a huge volcano stood on the site of modern Novokamenka, which gradually erupted into a hill. Now only “Stone Waterfalls” are reminiscent of eruptions – frozen lava hanging from the basalt rock in solid jets. Once under the streams, you will hear from me the legend of this place and learn why the locals consider it healing.

Next, we will go to another local attraction – a large-scale stone quarry. In truth, Novokamenka owes its emergence to a career. Here the tsarist geologists at the beginning of the XX century were working, and in the pre-war years from the quarry were selected thousands of tons of dolerite – stone for edge construction. At a stone quarry, you will certainly feel as if you were inside a large crater.

We'll take a walk down the safe slope, we'll have stunning views, and I'll take you to a place where you can take another look at the Stone Falls, but from the very top.
