Amur Bridge Museum
ooh Vladivostok, 40, Khabarovsk, Khabarovsk Territory, Russia
About the company:
One of the main attractions of Khabarovsk is the Museum of the History of the Amur Bridge, which is dedicated to the reconstruction and construction of the bridge running across the Amur River. The addition to it is the railway equipment exhibited in the open air, as well as the main exhibit - the farm of the "royal" bridge, dismantled during the reconstruction.
In June 2009, work was carried out on the painting and cleaning of the farm, as well as the preparation and installation of three future exhibits: a biaxial platform of 1935, a steam locomotive “E” and a cistern dating from the XIX century. In 2010, the exposition was significantly expanded: a retro station building was erected, an electric locomotive VL80 and a cargo passenger locomotive M62 were installed, as well as a covered wagon of old buildings and a motorcar of the 1930s.
The Museum of the History of the Amur Bridge was included in the excursion program of guests and participants of the VI Assembly of Railway Chiefs, which was held in early autumn 2011 in Vladivostok and Khabarovsk. The most valuable historical landmark of the institution is the highway, which was used to move Vasily Blyukher - commander of the Special Far Eastern Army.
