Ipatov Museum of Local History

The Ipatovsky Museum of Local Lore regularly works from the fifth of July one thousand nine hundred and eighty-seven. Eight employees and three researchers are working on the preservation and development of the museum collection. The collection of the museum includes more than twelve thousand three hundred items, eleven thousand seven hundred items of the collection are presented in the exposition and are included in the main funds of the museum. The museum is located in the heart of the city. Built on the foundation of the church under a special project. It is an architectural monument of local importance. The adjoining territory is a park in which citizens are happy to rest. The museum was opened on 5 November 1997. Children are very attracted to the nature hall, because it reflects the flora and fauna of the area. The exhibition hall organizes up to 15 exhibitions a year, both from the museum funds and from other museums of the region and Russia. The Ipatovsky Museum of Local Lore works in the form of a non-profit institution of historical specialization, that is, it does not have as the main goal of its activity the extraction of profit and does not distribute the profit received among the participants. The Ipatov Museum of Local Lore is an organization of municipal subordination. The museum conducts primarily scientific activities and solves the problems of replenishment and systematization of funds, conducting specialized research.
