Monument to the Humpbacked Horse

Ishim is called the city of the Humpbacked Horse. Humpbacked skates live all over the city. As you know, the author of the fairy tale “Humpbacked Horse” beloved by many generations was born in 1815 in the village of Bezrukova near Ishim. Two years later, the Ershov family left Priishimye. But in the future, Pyotr Pavlovich for service as director of folk schools of the Tobolsk province repeatedly came to the Ishim district. His last documented visit was in 1858.
