Ivanovskoye Estate
Description:
The estate Ivanovskoye-Kozlovskoye was founded in the early XVIII century, originally it belonged to princes Gagarin, after which its owners were repeatedly replaced. The last owners were Prince Kozlovsky.
Today, tourists can see here a two-storey stone house, consisting of two parts and is an example of Baroque architecture. Inside the building remains of furniture of the past years.
Interestingly, once flowing here the river Nudol today is a reservoir, which offers beautiful views. The estate stands in the middle of a huge English-type park, which today is in a neglected state. In Soviet times, a wooden pediment, a Belvedere tower and balconies were added to the house, which subsequently disappeared without a trace.
In the post-revolutionary period, a school was organized in Ivanovo, first for the deaf and then for the mentally retarded. Later the estate was used as a health resort.
