Church of the Icon of the Kazan Mother of God at the Posad cemetery

The Church of the Icon of the Kazan Mother of God is one of the oldest and most revered among the population as a monument of Orthodox culture.

This church was built in the 17th century in the cemetery of Ivanovo.

Externally, the temple corresponds to the time of creation. It is a wooden structure, the so-called "cage type". Outside, the appearance of the temple is very similar to the old tower, which can not be said about the interior decoration. Inside are the oldest icons, older than the temple itself. This fact attracts many pilgrimage excursions every year.

Initially, the church was built in another place, namely on the "Pokrovskaya Hill", after which it was moved to the "Dormition Cemetery", but there it did not find its final refuge and finally it was moved to the "Posadskoe Cemetery".
