Temple complex in Vasilievsk

The village of Vasilievskoye, though not large, but annually visited by thousands of tourists and pilgrims. And all because there is a magnificent ancient temple complex.

The complex is located in the very center of the village and is a kind of its heart, around which the whole life boils.

Externally, it consists of several church buildings located on one angrily small site. The Church of Nicholas the Wonderworker, the five-domed summer church of the Trinity, the Church of the Georgian Mother of God and several magnificent bell towers - all this can be seen by visiting the Vasilievsky Temple Complex.

One of the oldest temples of the complex is the Church of Nicholas the Wonderworker. It was built in the middle of the 18th century and externally represents a stone structure of those times.

On the walls of the cathedrals preserved the oldest painting of famous icon painters.

You can get to the complex by personal car or by public transport, following from Ivanovo to the village of Vasilievskoye.
