Vvedensky Monastery (Ivanovo)
Basisnaya Street, 23, Ivanovo, 153005
Description:
Vvedensky Monastery is a special kind of convent in the city of Ivanovo, open to both parishioners and tourists.
At the sight of the building immediately catches the eye of the majestic church, which occupies the main part of the building. All buildings are made of noble dark red brick, which once again emphasizes the stateliness of the temple.
The monastery contains the Hieromartyr Vladimir of Vvedensky and Blessed Alexy of Elnat, as well as more than one hundred and fifty parts of ancient saints, which, of course, especially attracts Orthodox visitors.
The history of this monastery is as interesting as its contents. It is known that earlier inside the church there was a state archive, which was headed by the KGB, but it is worth noting that it was an extremely difficult time for the clergy of the monastery.
Getting to the sights is easy: a personal car, a taxi, your own transport. The monastery is located within the city limits.
