House-Museum of B.I.Prorokov

The museum employs nine employees and two researchers. The collection of the museum includes more than three thousand thirty items, two thousand two hundred and ninety items of the collection are presented in the exposition and are included in the main funds of the museum. The museum was opened in the homeland of the People’s Artist of the USSR, participant of the Great Patriotic War Boris Ivanovich Prorokov. The exposition consists of a memorial part and a spread:" Life and work of B.I. Prorokov, exhibition hall. The main part of the exposition demonstrates the original works of B.I. Prorokov from his most famous series, early works. In accordance with the family traditions of the Prophets, the museum regularly holds musical evenings, organizes shift exhibitions of Ivanovo artists. The House-Museum of B.I. Prorokov works in the form of a non-profit institution of a personal or memorial nature, that is, it does not have as the main goal of its activity the extraction of profit and does not distribute the profit received among the participants. The House-Museum of B.I.Prorokov is an organization of regional: regional or regional subordination. The main activities of the museum: cultural and research.
