Ilyinsk Museum of Local Lore

Twenty-one employees and seven researchers are working on the preservation and development of the museum’s collection. The collection of the museum includes more than seventeen thousand seven hundred items, fifteen thousand three hundred items of the collection are presented in the exposition and are included in the main funds of the museum. The museum is located in the building of the management office of the Perm Stroganov estate. Expositions and funds reflect the socio-economic life of the estate of the XVIII - early XX centuries. Unique is the information about the activities of serfs of the estate: an icon painting workshop, secular painting of serf artists, a theater of serfs, a school, a library. The museum’s funds contain significant material on Old Believers, peasant and merchant life. The history of the region of 1917-1980 is fully reflected. There is a collection of contemporary Permian and local artists. The Ilyinsky District Museum of Local Lore works in the form of a non-profit institution of architectural and ensemble specialization, that is, it does not have as the main goal of its activity the extraction of profit and does not distribute the profit received between the participants. The Ilyinsky District Museum of Local Lore is an organization of municipal subordination. The main activities of the museum: cultural and research.
