The museum is located in a wooden one-storey house. The house was built in 1910 in the central part of the city of Ivanovo-Voznesensk by a nobleman, Austrian by birth Ludwig Pavlovich Auer. In 1928, the house became the property of the doctor Mikhail Savelyevich Vikhman. Morozov has had friendly relations with the Vikhman family since childhood. Here he found understanding and support. Therefore, the artist, who donated all his works to the city, chose this house for the museum.
