Alnash United Historical and Literary Museum

Seven employees and two researchers are working on the preservation and development of the museum collection. The collection of the museum includes more than one thousand seven hundred seventy items, one thousand five hundred forty items of the collection are presented in the exposition and are included in the main funds of the museum. Employees of the museum collect material on the customs and rituals of the Udmurt people, the history of the district, local history. The museum created a folklore and dramatic collective "Daur" ("Century"), which recreates the rites of the southern Udmurts. The team participated in the filming of the documentary film of Udmurt television "Wedding of southern Udmurts", has scripts of the rites "Birth of a child", "Request for rain", "At the spring". In the area there is still a pagan prayer house of the Udmurts - kuala (acting) in the village of Kuzebaevo. The interests of visitors - local history, rituals, prayers of Udmurts, patterned weaving, clothing of southern Udmurts Alnash United Historical and Literary Museum works in the form of a non-profit institution of historical specialization, that is, it does not have as the main goal of its activities the extraction of profit and does not distribute the profit between participants. Alnash United Historical and Literary Museum is an organization of municipal subordination. The museum is primarily engaged in cultural activities.
