Ludorwai Museum-Reserve

Udmurt Republic, Zavyalovsky district, museum-reserve Ludorvai

About the company:

The museum-reserve "Ludorvai" is located on the territory of the former repair of Ilyinsky - in a small village near the Izhevsk plant, which was founded in 1885. By 1920, 78 people lived here – they cultivated the land, raised cows, goats, poultry and even supplied the plant with products. However, over time, the settlement became empty. And in 1984, it was decided to open a museum-reserve on its territory, which will tell about traditional Russian and Udmurt architecture, life and traditions of peoples.

On the territory of the former repair, street layout and some peasant houses have been preserved. In addition, samples of wooden architecture from other areas were brought here. Among them is a barn, a barn, a windmill, a bathhouse and a kuala - a family sanctuary in which they prayed, performed rites and rituals. The museum-reserve - at first it was called "Ilyinka" - opened in 1997.
