Sarapul Museum-Reserve

The Museum of History and Culture of the Middle Kama region is the oldest museum of the Udmurt Republic. It was established by the decision of the Sarapul district zemstvo in 1909. The Sarapul Zemstvo Museum immediately became a noticeable phenomenon in the cultural life of not only Sarapul and Sarapul district, but also the entire region as a whole. Today, the Sarapul Museum is the winner of regional and all-Russian competitions in the field of museum activities. Projects developed by museum employees received financial support from the Soros Foundation, competitions of the Volga Federal District, were awarded diplomas of district and Russian competitions of social and cultural projects, participated in an international competition in the field of museology and were awarded by the museum department of Finland.
