Yukamensk Museum of Local Lore

The Yukamenskoye Museum of Folk Art has been working regularly since the nineteenth of May one thousand nine hundred and ninety-first year. Eight employees and four researchers are working on the preservation and development of the museum’s collection. The collection of the museum includes more than five hundred forty-one items, two hundred forty-eight items of the collection are presented in the exposition and are included in the main funds of the museum. In 1991, the Museum of Folk Art opened, and the name suggests that it contains various objects created by human hands that deserve special attention. The purpose of the museum is to revive the traditional folk crafts of the region. All the material is compactly presented in 6 halls. "Hall of ethnography" - clothes, household items, jewelry of Besermians, Udmurts, Russians, Tatars. Everything is based on the manufacture of linen clothing. Hall "Folk crafts of Russia" - : Gzhel, Khokhloma, paleh, mstera, Mikhkov and Filimonov toy, Bogorod wooden toy, Ryazan lace, city painting, Kaslin cast iron, Zhostov trays, etc. Hall "Hungarian Modern Decorative and Applied Art" - the main activities of Hungarian masters: ceramics, weaving, embroidery, national clothing. Hall "Our History" - the history of the emergence of the village and the development of the district. The Bread Room shows the process of growing grains and making bread. Designed "Red Corner" and "Babian zakutok" village hut. "Exhibition Hall" - shows temporary exhibitions. The museum has the opportunity to attract any category of the population to its work. The Yukamenskoye Museum of Folk Art operates in the form of a non-profit institution of architectural and ensemble specialization, that is, it does not have as the main goal of its activity the extraction of profit and does not distribute the profit received between the participants. The Museum of Folk Art in Yukamenskoe is an organization of municipal subordination. The museum is primarily engaged in cultural activities.
