Kalachinsky Local History Museum

The Kalachinsky Museum of Local History was born on November 3, 1977. Located in the city center, in a small, but very cozy, former merchant house, built in 1905. The museum was created on a voluntary basis. The founders are Kalachin local historians, history teachers, caring Kalachin residents.

In 2015, another building was handed over to the institution - more spacious and comfortable. Currently, the design of expositions in the new building continues, which can tell visitors the history of the region, attract potential visitors, including tourists.

Also, the activities of the museum today are actively aimed at developing and holding new events in quality and format, such as quests in the museum building and in the city and district, unusual excursions, as well as increasing the tourist attractiveness of the city of Kalachinsk and the district.
