The village of Amber

The village of Yantarny on the Baltic Sea is famous not only for its beach, which deservedly received the Blue Flag award. In Amber there is a unique tourist object - the observation deck of the Primorsky quarry for the extraction of amber. This is the only quarry in the world where amber is extracted in an open way, that is, in a quarry, not in a mine.

The depth of the quarry is 55 meters and about 90% of the world’s amber reserves are concentrated in it. It is active, amber is mined in it today. Therefore, all our tourists will be able to watch its prey from the observation deck and even get a piece of observation amber in a mini-career.

On the territory of the Primorsky quarry rises the famous amber pyramid - a recognizable symbol of the Amber and, as it is believed, a harmonizer of the physical state of a person. Amber has a beneficial effect on the heart, improves metabolism, neutralizes carcinogens, slows down the aging process. You can go into the pyramid, sit there for a while and take a picture near it. Also at your service is the photo zone - "Amber Throne" with the opportunity to try on a tiara.

Previously, Amber was called Palmniken. It was a German working village that developed along with the amber industry. In the center of the village preserved the cultural heritage of that time. We will walk through its streets and see:

• Schloss Hotel (1881), built as owner's house
• mining complex M. Becker
• residential buildings of the late XIX - early XX centuries.

Through the arboretum, founded by Maurice Becker, you will go to the Amber Beach - the best beach of the Kaliningrad coast, which once again received the Blue Flag award.

Svetlogorsk

Another beautiful place of the Kaliningrad seaside is the resort town of Svetlogorsk, an all-Russian health resort and a popular holiday destination. Svetlogorsk will enchant you with the beauty of the ancient resort architecture of Germany of the early XX century and an abundance of greenery, which gives it the status of “city-botanical garden”.

A walking tour of Svetlogorsk from "Amber mosaic" will give you pleasure. The symbols of the resort are:
