Fortification of the Baltic Spit and Baltic

We will go to the once most closed and secret city of Baltiysk. In East Prussia it is the fortress of Pillau. Sea fortress, Königsberg in miniature, impregnable outpost - as it was not called. For centuries, its borders were strengthened, hiding from prying eyes the secrets of military infrastructure. And now Baltiysk and the Baltic Spit are ready to tell their story and show the bowels of their powerful fortifications.

On the Baltic Spit, we will visit: the complex of structures remaining from the Neutif air base; bunkers and batteries buried in dunes; the lunet fortification structure; the southern mole; the ruins of the Western Fort, washed by sea waves. And, of course, the virgin and untouched nature of the Baltic Spit will not leave you indifferent: snow-white high sand dunes, a wide beach with placers of small amber, a picturesque route from the Gulf coast to the sea coast.

Baltiysk: the city of military, sailors, ships and seagulls. Romance and valor are saturated with salty sea breezes. In a walk around the city we will see the preserved historical buildings of infantry barracks, courts and churches. We welcome Peter I to the pier and find out how many times he has been here. We will see the lighthouse that illuminated the path of the retreating Napoleonic troops. We will hear Brodsky's poem at the old hotel "Golden anchor". What about Brodsky? - Everyone will know. We're going on a trip!

It is necessary to wear comfortable clothes and shoes, because we will visit the underground fortifications and walk a lot.
