Individual sightseeing tour - Curonian Spit, Zelenogradsk

Description:

The Curonian Spit is an almost 100 km long arc-shaped sandy peninsula separating the freshwater Curonian Bay from the Baltic Sea. It is a unique national park with moving dunes and pine forests, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

We will visit Dune Pest (also known as Orekhovaya) is one of the highest mobile sand dunes in Europe (up to 62 m high), located on the Curonian Spit in the Kaliningrad region. Its highest point of view is named Eph height in honor of the German dune inspector Franz Ef, who in the XIX century stopped the advance of the sands.

On the Curonian Spit you will see an amazing forest, the trunks of trees winding in bizarre zigzags. This forest has been nicknamed "the dancer." It's hard to imagine what makes the coniferous trees in this place dance like this, but we know it!

Further, our route to Zelenogradsk (Kranz) was founded in 1252 by the knights of the Teutonic Order.

The city of cats, roses and sea, the architecture of the old city in the Art Nouveau style, plus a modern promenade of more than three kilometers, which stretches along the whole city with the largest Ferris wheel on the Baltic coast, from which a picturesque view of the whole city breaks off!
