“Königsberg - Kaliningrad. History in the ages"
Description:
We will start our tour from the place where Koenigsberg began its history and where the Royal Castle was once located. This is the Central Square of Kaliningrad, in the past - the Royal Mountain. Then we will pass through the Victory Square (if desired, we will stop and visit the Cathedral of Christ the Savior), follow the Königsberg districts of Hufen and Amalienau, built up in the early 20th century and very well preserved to this day. You will remain in undoubted delight with the sophistication and splendor of the garden city villas. Next, we will continue moving through the former Ratshof district, see the Kaliningrad port, learn about the history of its creation. And, of course, we will take a walk through the Fish Village and the island of Kneiphof, which is the hallmark of Kaliningrad, as well as see the preserved city gates and defensive structures of the Second Wall Ring of the former Koenigsberg. A pleasant addition to our tour will be a visit to the Marzipan Museum, located in a historic building - the Brandenburg Gate. The tour program includes a visit to the Friedland Gate Museum.
