Temple of Peter and Fevronia
Description:
The construction of the temple of Peter and Fevronia of Murom began in 2009. It is noteworthy that it is two-domed, and therefore is unique. The idea belongs to Patriarch of All Russia Kirill. The temple is located on the main square of the city of Kalinigrad. It was illuminated in July 2011, and the cathedral complex also includes a chapel.
Saints Peter and Fevronia are a symbol of family loyalty and happiness, an example for Orthodox Christians to emulate. Weddings are often held in the temple. Every Wednesday at 17:00, a prayer service is held for the saints, during which parishioners ask to bestow love and prosperity on the family.
The beautiful temple has an unusual construction, it lacks classical vertical walls, and the arches are decorated with glass. The images of a pair of people are reflected in the lines repeating each other and the forked dome.
