Monument to the Conquerors of Space
Description:
One of the attractions of Kaliningrad.
The monument is dedicated to the conquerors of space, known as a monument to "Cosmonauts" and "Conquerors of the Near Universe".
Author of the sculpture B. V. Edunov. The monument is located at the intersection of Mira Avenue and Cosmonaut Leonov Street.
The nearest bus stop is the Zarya cinema.
The monument is made of bronze, concrete and granite.
On the monument there are boards of honor and memory of the cosmonauts to whom the monument is dedicated: Leonov A.A. (twice Hero of the Soviet Union). Patsaeva V.I. Romanenko Yu.V.
In the orbit of the monument is carved the phrase K. E. Tsiolkovsky. The feat of our countrymen-heroes will be honored and remembered for centuries.
Monument "Earthlings cosmonauts" was awarded the status of an object of cultural heritage of the city of Kaliningrad!
