Monument to Internationalist Soldiers
Description:
The monument to soldiers-internationalists is located in the recreation and culture park "Youth" of the city of Kaliningrad. It is dedicated to the memory of soldiers killed in local wars, in the war in Afghanistan, in hot spots of the planet.
The opening of the monument was in 1998. Architect - Eremeev, sculptor - Ponomarev. The monument is a chapel in which heartbroken parents grieve for their son.
Below, at the foot of the monument, a granite slab, under which a capsule with a message for posterity is buried. Nearby there are granite memorial plaques, on them the names of the dead soldiers.
