Sculpture Park Museum

Kaliningrad region, Kaliningrad, Kant Island

About the company:

Sculpture Park is an open-air park and museum in Kaliningrad. Located in the western part of Kneiphof Island (Kanta Island, Central Island). The sculpture park was established in 1984. The park is a branch of the Kaliningrad Historical and Art Museum.

The collection of the park consists of about thirty sculptures, which include monuments to cultural figures - composers, writers, poets. Some of the sculptures were lost as a result of vandalism or theft.

The park is interesting not only for works of art, but also for the plants growing in it. Here you can see trees and shrubs of various species - more than 1030 specimens originating from Europe, North and South America, Japan, Mongolia, Afghanistan, the Balkans.

Thus, the sculpture park is simultaneously an arboretum. Trees and shrubs were planted on the site of the war-torn Kneiphof neighborhoods, mostly in the 1960s.
