Vishtynets Ecological and Historical Museum

The museum as a scientific and cultural institution was founded by the decision of the initiative group in 2001, and was organized to promote the preservation of the natural and cultural heritage of the Vistynets hills, as well as broad promotion of the idea of the unity of nature and man. In 2002, the staff of the museum prepared a number of photo exhibitions and small expositions about the unique natural territories of the Kaliningrad region, including the Vishtynets hill. In May 2004, the opening of the current mobile exposition was held, which tells about the centuries-old history of the elevation from the times of the ice age to the present day, about the fate of people, about the royal hunting grounds, about dense forests, about the work of nature and man, merged into a single whole.
