Route: pos. Amber - Svetlogorsk Meeting with the village of Yantarny, before Palmniken. You will learn about the history of the place. The architectural dominants of the place are the Lutheran Church of 1892, the aristocratic building of the Schloss Hotel. You will walk to the sea through the park named after M. Becker with centuries-old trees. Since 2016, Yantarny Beach has received an annual blue flag – a sign of environmentally friendly and equipped by world standards. Here is the world's largest deposit of amber. You can visit the quarry of the Kaliningrad Amber Plant, where amber is extracted by an open industrial method. You can try yourself in the role of an amber prospector and, armed with a shovel, get yourself a souvenir "sunstone" in a mini-career and recharge with natural energy and health in the Amber Pyramid, the construction of which took about 800 kg of amber.

You will visit the amber production. Here you will be told about the processing of solar stone and its healing properties. Next, we will get acquainted with the sights of Svetlogorsk-Rauchen. You will be fascinated by the ancient architecture of the late XIX - early XX centuries: private villas, boarding houses, hotels. Organ hall, larch park, water tower, Kurhaus.

Symbols of Svetlogorsk are the beautiful works of the German sculptor G. Brachert – “Bearing Water” and “Nymph”. You will see the new “house” of KVN and the film festival “Baltic Debuts” – the stage theater “Amber Hall”.

Day 4, Monday

Excursion "Walk around Guards and Tapiau Castle", 6-7 hours

You will visit the charming town of Guardeisk, which has preserved the main signs and flavor of the old city of Tapiau: the market square, the town hall with a musical clock, the church of the XVII century and the typical urban development for these places. And the history of many cities here began with the foundation of the Teutonic Order by the knights in the Middle Ages of the castle-fortress.

In the preserved part of Tapiau Castle you will be transported to the past, rich in bright events and big names of guests of the Tapiau fortress. In Tapiau met the end of the war in 1945, the Soviet poet and war correspondent A.T. Tvardovsky, it is here that he will complete the poem “Vasily Terkin”.

You will see a monument to the popularly beloved hero. The city is also known as the birthplace of the German artist Lovis Corinth, famous for his monumental paintings on mythological and religious themes. He is considered the last major portrait painter of Germany of the second half of the XIX - early XX century. You will get acquainted with the work of L. A tour of the ruins of the castle, which, like other fortresses in Prussia, was built on the site of a Prussian fortification, will plunge you into the Middle Ages.
