Then we will visit the ruins of Shaaken Castle in the village of Nekrasovo. Its distinctive feature is the unusual octagonal shape, such castles the Teutonic Order never built again.

A tour of the ruins of the castle, which, like other fortresses in Prussia, was built on the site of a Prussian fortification, will plunge you into the Middle Ages. Impressions will complement the Inquisition Museum in the basements of the castle.

Curonian Spit is a unique corner of nature included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. A narrow strip of land between the Baltic Sea and the Curonian Gulf.

Moving to Zelenogradsk. You will get acquainted with the first and most famous resort of East Prussia - Krantz, now the city of Zelenogradsk. You will find a trip to the city of historical significance, rich in attractions from different eras: the ruins of the medieval castle-fortress Insterburg of the XIV century; the magnificent building of the Reformed Church of 1883.p. (now - the Orthodox St. Michael's Cathedral of Chernyakhov-Slavic Diocese); the Catholic Church of St. Bruno, built in the neo-Gothic style in 1902; the charming old architecture of the city of Insterburg, which was very similar to pre-war Berlin. Insterburg was personally Tsar Peter I, as well as the Grand Embassy of 1697.

As a reminder of the era of the Napoleonic wars - a monument to the hero of the Russian Empire, Field Marshal M.B. Barclay de Tolly and a monument to the Russian soldier, the work of the famous Russian sculptor V. Surovtsev; the house where Napoleon stayed in 1812. During the First World War, troops of the 1st Russian Imperial Army stood in the city. And, of course, the monument to General I.D. Chernyakhovsky, commander of the 3rd Belorussian Front, whose name the city proudly bears, Normandy-Neman squadron with French pilots was based in the city at the end of the Second World War. You can try yourself in the role of an amber prospector and, armed with a shovel, get yourself a souvenir "sunstone" in a mini-career and recharge with natural energy and health in the Amber Pyramid, the construction of which took about 800 kg of amber. You will visit the amber production. Here you will be told about the processing of solar stone and its healing properties. Next, we will get acquainted with the sights of Svetlogorsk-Rauchen. You will be fascinated by the ancient architecture of the late XIX - early XX centuries: private villas, boarding houses, hotels. Organ hall, larch park, water tower, Kurhaus. Symbols of Svetlogorsk are the beautiful works of the German sculptor G. Brachert – “Bearing Water” and “Nymph”.
