Tornado Fountain
Description:
The Tornado fountain was opened in 2012 at the monument to the 600th anniversary of Kaluga.
The fountain not only adorns the entrance to the historical center of the city, but also performs several entertainment functions: children can play with small trickles, and a dance floor with a light-music mode is provided for dancing to music.
The water mirror of the fountain and floodlights are closed with an anti-vandal coating, so the fountain is durable and completely safe. The diameter of the fountain is 14 meters, the height of some jets reaches 17 meters. In the “autonomous” mode, the fountain jets reach a height of only 1 meter. At night, the fountain plays with all the colors of the rainbow.
The cost of installing the fountain was about 15 million rubles - this money was laid down by the budget for the improvement of the city.
