Description:

The Church of the Savior Not Made by Hands is a church in Uteshevo, built in 1839 in the Empire style. Funds for the construction of a brick one-headed temple with a bell tower were allocated by Maria Delyanova.

In Soviet times, the church was closed, and the priest who served there was arrested and shot. After the closure, the church was used as a collective farm warehouse. In the 1990s, the temple began to collapse, overgrown with birches and shrubs, the roof, porch, steps, fences, stone pillars collapsed.

In 1998, Bishop Giorgi Lyudinovsky visited Uteshev, who took the initiative to restore the church. Now restoration work is underway, and the rural Orthodox community visits the church in the village of Babynino.
