Park "Golden Alley" in the city of Kaluga

karl Marx Street, Kaluga

Description:

The Golden Alley is not only an alley with trees and nature, but also a “cultural” alley with several monuments.

On one side of the alley there is a bust of Pushkin, on the other there is a building of the Noble Assembly with an amazingly beautiful cast-iron staircase. In the Soviet period, the building was called the Palace of Pioneers, it worked children's circles. Now, by the way, the purpose of this building has survived, only the name has changed (Palace of creativity of young people).

Along the alley are a monument to the pioneer, a stele in honor of the founding of the city and a monument to the victims of Stalinist repressions. On the stele, a relief plan is drawn for the development of Kaluga (the work of architect Nikitin).

There is the Golden Alley on Karl Marx Street, passing along the Berezuisky ravine and crossing Bazhenov Street.
