Suhodrev River

Dzerzhinsky district, Kaluga region

Description:

The Sukhodrev River (left tributary of Shani), flowing in the Kaluga region, near the village of Polotny Zavod, reaches a length of only 96 kilometers. The area of the basin of the reservoir is 1,340 square kilometers.

The river is located 20 kilometers from Kaluga. This convenient location makes the river one of the most popular tourist routes for kayaking on weekends. The final point is the village of Polotny factory with the Goncharov estate. By the way, in the village there is a dam with an artificial waterfall. On the left bank of the river once stood a mill.

On the river is quite popular fishing for spinning with slow wiring. You can catch a big one here.

During the spring flood, a sharp rise in water in the river leads to flooding of household plots in the village.
