Chirikov Manor
village Ferzikovo, Ferzikovo district, Kaluga region
Description:
This estate, built in the middle of the XVIII century, belonged to the landowner A. Chirikov. To the house of the former estate leads the alley of the park. Now, unfortunately, the manor house is destroyed, so it remains only to look and imagine its former greatness.
After Chirikov, the estate was owned by his son - collegiate adviser P. Chirikov, later retired Colonel Destrem with his heirs, then - the nobles of Atryganyev. After 1917, a school and a children's sanatorium were located in the estate. The sanatorium was closed in the late 1980s for renovation, but it was not carried out, so the building quickly fell into decay.
To this day, the destroyed main building in the Elizabethan Baroque style and a park with lime trees have been preserved. The Church of the Transfiguration of the XVIII century was dismantled in the 1930s.
