The Consin Manor in Ahlebinino

village of Achlebinino, Kaluga

Description:

The estate of Konshins in the village of Akhlebinino at different times belonged to the Pyatovs, Baskakovs, Bedlinskys. But the most interesting period in the history of the estate was the time of its ownership by a rich representative of the merchant family - Conshin Jr.

Conshin expanded his estate, built a park and planted it with valuable breeds, such as ship mast pine trees, and planted an apple orchard with 3,000 apple trees. At the estate, a horse factory was built.

Conshin planned to build a five-storey estate building with chic outbuildings and a park with cascading ponds. However, he built only the first floor with a kitchen, greenhouse and two wings.

Now only a wing with a six-column half-rotunda has survived from the estate. Interestingly, the project of the estate is similar to the literary description of the estate in Sollogub’s work “The House of Trirodov”, which was built using Masonic symbols.

It's a residential building now.
