Moshonka Manor
village of Moshonki, Meshchov district, Kaluga region
Description:
The estate appeared in the XVIII century. Then Paul I distributed lands to his governors. General Nikitik got several villages in the Kaluga region. In the village of Uspenskoe he settled. He built a house and several farm buildings. After the death of the general, the land was sold for pennies. The estate has changed several owners. Under the last owners of the Urusov princes, in 1765, the rotunda church of Alexander Nevsky appeared on the territory of the estate. This is the only building of Vodka that has survived to our days.
She's in a depressing state now. There were huge cracks on the rounded walls. The brick foundation is overgrown with grass. The metal doors and locks rusted. On the one hand, the church encompasses scaffolding. But they are so old that they are of little use. Apparently someone was going to restore the rotunda. Despite these shortcomings, the church is still beautiful and majestic.
