Manor of Panskoye

village Panskoye, Maloyaroslavetsky district, Kaluga region

Description:

Manor Panskoe is located on the territory of the village of the same name. This is the estate of the Russian general and nobleman Dmitry Kudryavtsev. It was built in 1812 in the style of the Alexander Empire.

At different times in the estate there was a pioneer camp, an orphanage, a children's sanatorium. Now the estate is in a deplorable state and is waiting for its restoration.

The two-storey wooden house of the estate in the style of Russian classicism is a typical noble building. Both facades of the building have porticoes, and to the right and left of the house are added additional buildings and two pavilions. In the Kaluga region, only a few houses have survived from buildings built in a wooden empire.

Near the estate there was a luxurious forest with alleys of maples, birches, fir trees and pines, leading to the Luzha River, a gazebo, ponds and an ancient settlement.

Now the park is overgrown, a large pond is covered, and the estate itself looks sad: the paint has peeled off, the boards from the wooden porticoes fall off, and the whole structure is skewed from time.
