Kaluga

Sparrow Manor

Kaluga region, Maloyaroslavetsky district, p/o Aleshkovo.

Description:

What is striking is the windows of all kinds of shapes: from the usual rectangular, arched and oval, to stepped and narrow window loopholes. The window in the attic is completely represented by the Eastern intricate and does not lend itself to clear definition.

All this strangely coexists on the facade planes, which are not at all “calm”. The finish successfully combines smooth surfaces, with plastered "under the fur coat" and ceramic tiles. There was a place and a tree (figure roof brackets, balcony fences, design of visors). In the exterior, artistic forging was also used, for the most part lost.

The most spectacular and deeply thought out is the facade facing the river. A huge window with stained glass and a balcony door catches the eye. A large stone terrace with a porch seems unusually cozy.

In the park, supplemented by the planting of maples, birches and conifers, old cedars, larchs and thuyas are still preserved.

The entrance to the territory of the sanatorium is absolutely unhindered, so everyone can admire the view right on the territory of the estate.
