Description:
The Continental plant is a tire production plant of the German concern, built in Kaluga in 2012 with an area of 60 hectares. The start of production at the plant started in 2013.
The company produces tires of three brands: Continental, Gislaved and Matador, sold in the primary and secondary markets. The plant is located next to its manufacturing partners – the plant of leading automakers PSMA Rus and the supplier of automotive components Faurecia.
On the territory of the plant built an additional division ContiTech, specializing in the production of hoses for cars. At the initial stage, the capacity of the plant amounted to 4 million tires per year, and in the future should increase to 12 million tires per year.
