Regional Art Gallery "Image"

The regional art gallery "Image" appeared quite recently, in 1994. It is a fast-growing and highly mobile institution. Every year the gallery organizes dozens of exhibitions, including in the institutions of the region and beyond. And also holds creative meetings, poetic and musical evenings. The art collection of the gallery is constantly increasing. It includes the works of many Kaluga masters of painting, graphics, sculpture, decorative and applied art of the XX-XXI centuries (realists, contravangardists, post-avant-garde artists and neo-formalists).

The gallery was created in order to promote the creativity of artists - members of the Council of Arts of the Russian Federation, as well as to help in the implementation of artistic works of members of the Council of Arts of the Russian Federation in the Kaluga region and abroad. In 1996, the gallery began to operate an art salon, which conducts a constant trade in art paints, paper, frames and other necessary materials for the work of artists. Here are sold paintings by artists of Kaluga and the region. Visitors to the gallery have the opportunity to purchase art works with a minimum margin (20%) and for a nominal fee to inspect the temporary exhibition in our hall.
