About the company:

The Military Historical Memorial and Museum was opened on May 9, 1980. The project of the memorial was created by the architect E. I. Kireev; a monument to the sculptors of the brothers A. D. and N. D. Sherbakov.

The immortal feat of 18 Siberian warriors is dedicated to the song of the composer V. E. Basner to the words of the poet M. L. Matusovsky “At an unnamed height”. The name of this song determined the name of the museum complex, which opened on May 9, 1980 and consists of a monument to fallen soldiers, dugouts in three coasts, a museum.

The exposition of the museum tells about the liberation of the Kuibyshevsky district from the Nazi invaders. Liberation began on September 1, 1943, with troops from the 49th, 10th and 50th armies. Soldiers of the Red Army on September 9 liberated 52 settlements, the enemy offered stubborn resistance. On September 13, a small group of soldiers – 18 volunteers, Siberian soldiers under the command of junior lieutenant E.I. Poroshin – managed to break through enemy positions and capture an important tactical height of 224.1

The fascist command did not assume that such an action could be under the power of so many Soviet soldiers, and threw several infantry units against them simultaneously, a total of about 300 people. Striving to keep the height, the Siberians fought selflessly and destroyed more than a hundred Hitlerites. But they all fell the death of the brave, buried heroes on the Nameless height at the fork of roads. Only two survived - Konstantin Vlasov and Gerasim Lapin.
