About the company:
Military Historical Museum "Zaitsev Gora" was opened on May 9, 1972, in 1982 the re-exposition was carried out, and since 1995 the exhibition hall has been operating. At the end of the 90s of the XX century, a chapel church was laid next to the museum in honor of the icon of the Mother of God “Unexpected Joy” in memory of the soldiers who died here.
The exposition of the Military History Museum tells about genuine examples of courage and heroism that thousands of Soviet soldiers and commanders showed in the battles for the Warsaw Highway. It was heavy fighting: sections of the Warsaw Highway changed hands several times. Soviet troops tried to capture this height until March 1943, in battle for which more than 100,000 Soviet soldiers died.
