The railway station

Kaluga-I railway station is the main railway station of the city. This is an important regional transport facility. Every day the station serves about four thousand people. The railway station is combined with the bus station. In the bus station there is a buffet where you can have a good lunch.
The building of the railway station was erected in the late nineteenth century. It is a monument of history and culture. And after the building was renovated, it had a modern waiting room, several new cash registers. The waiting room now has ninety seats.
There are five passenger platforms at Kaluga-I station. With one of them there is a suburban train service. Two of them are usually used by electric trains. By the way, there is an above-ground pedestrian crossing above the station. You can't leave it to the platforms.
Near the Kaluga railway station is the final stop of the trolleybus line.
