Holy Trinity Council
Lenin St., 126, Kamensk-Ural, Sverdlovsk region 623409
Description:
Holy Trinity Cathedral is a two-storey eight-chaired cathedral, built according to the project of Malakhov. The temple is considered a symbol of Kamensk-Uralsk.
Initially, the temple was built as a parish church with a Lower temple in honor of the Life-Giving Trinity in 1821. Later, the cathedral was expanded. The new bell tower is decorated with huge arched windows and a Corinthian rotunda with a spherical dome. Completes the bell tower four-sided obelisk.
This beautiful architectural monument was also destroyed and looted. In 1997, its majestic revival took place. It is now fully restored and services are regularly held there. One side of the cathedral overlooks Lenin Street, and the other – the river, which has a bronze cross installed in memory of the victims of mass repression.
