The museum opened on February 20, 1969. From 1988 to April 1991, the museum was closed for overhaul and re-exposition. There are three halls in the museum: in the first there is also a department of ethnography, in which you can get acquainted with the Chuvash national clothes, jewelry, trace the history of the district by clothing, photo and documentary materials, in the second - the nature department, in the third - the exhibition hall - the only one in the city, in the hall various exhibitions of artists, masters of decorative and applied arts, exhibitions for memorable dates, anniversaries are arranged. Various events are also held: presentations, meetings with interesting people, museum gatherings. |
