The Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos is located near the old cemetery in the village of Kazakovo or Bolshaya Shalga, east of the city of Kargopol, in northwestern Russia. It is a small stone single-domed building with a bell tower. The top of the bell tower is decorated with a sharp high spire with a cross on the very top. It was built in 1857, but is well preserved and has recently been completely restored. The church is built in the style of classicism - its front entrance is framed by a small arbor, which is supported by four ancient columns.
