Kashira - the city on the Oka (sightseeing tour)

The ancient suburban Kashira in the early twentieth century was honored to be depicted on postcards, which not only scattered across the vast territory of the Russian Empire, but throughout the world. The city is located between Moscow and Tula at the same distance (100 km): and you will plunge into the atmosphere of silence, narrow streets and the unique appearance of a small merchant city.

The tour is designed for tourists who like to walk through the streets of ancient cities. We do not rush anywhere, admire the temples with golden domes, dive into the past and compare it with the present. During the walk, we stop and over a cup of coffee or with ice cream or a delicious Kashir bun we listen to my story. We photograph beautiful views, take selfies.

You will learn the history of the fortress city of the late Middle Ages, the city-outpost of the Moscow principality, the merchant and front-line city.

You will see what Kashira was like in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, as well as in the early twentieth century: wooden houses with carved casings, temples with golden domes, in which the rays of the sun are reflected in the form of... (This you will see yourself in sunny weather), city estates, schools, the building of the City Duma.

You can make a wish by rubbing the boots of the Kashir Sagittarius. I will show you all the monuments to the famous people of Russia, which are installed in Kashir-1.

Of course, I will introduce you to Kashira's business card - the Vvedensky temple, on the bell tower of which a clock is installed.

We will also visit the Nikitsky Monastery with a wonderful observation deck, climb the bell tower of the Assumption Cathedral and visit the embankment, where our route will end. And you can enjoy a walk with views of the Oka and eat yourself in the cafe.
