About the company:
In 8 halls of the museum there are permanent expositions reflecting the eventful history of the region. The funds store more than 14,000 exhibits: collections of numismatics, faleristics, fine arts, household items, ethnography.
The oldest exhibit of 30,000 years is a mammoth tusk, which belongs to the Paleolithic era. The most unusual exhibits of the museum are color photographs of the early XIX century with views of Katav-Ivanovsk (author - S. M. Prokudin-Gorsky). The most popular exhibit is the Maxim machine gun, an eyewitness to the events of the Civil War.
The exhibition hall regularly hosts exhibitions of works by artists and masters of folk art of the Chelyabinsk region. The museum organizes ceremonial holidays for children and adults, excursions to the sights of the district, events from the cycle “Together we make history”, master classes and conversations.
