Excursion to Raifa Bogoroditsky Monastery and Zilantov Monastery

I want to invite everyone to go on a tour of the monasteries of Kazan and its region. The tour will be interesting for those who are not indifferent to religion or just want to relax from the usual bustle and admire the magnificent nature and architecture. We will visit Zilantov Holy Dormition Monastery and Raifsky Bogoroditsky Monastery.

At the beginning of the tour you will find the recreated Zilantov Holy Assumption Monastery. This monastery has a tragic history - in 1918 several monks headed by Archimandrite Sergius were shot on unproven charges of shelling the Red Guards and the monastery was inactive for many years. Today, the monastery complex has been restored and receives pilgrims from all over Russia. In the monastery there is a relic with particles of relics: saints of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, Kazan hierarchs Guria and Herman, Diveevsky saints (Prpp.: Alexandra, Martha and Helena), Propp. Sergius of Radonezh, Seraphim of Sarov, Vmch. and healer Panteleimon, Vmts. Elizabeth Feodorovna and the confessor of the monastery of the holy confessor Sergius of Srebransky, St. Luke of Voyno-Yasenetsky, a particle of one of the Bethlehem babies and other particles of many saints.

Next, we will go to the village of Old Arakcino, where the unique Temple of All Religions is located. On the tour you will get acquainted with the history of this amazing place, which is a possible symbol of unity of all religions and cultures. And the end of the tour will be Raifsky Bogoroditsky Monastery - one of the largest operating male monasteries in Kazan. Here you will find picturesque natural views and ancient monastic temples. In this monastery there is a miraculous icon of the Georgian Mother of God.
