On June 9, 2012, the official opening of a new city on the map of Russia – Innopolis took place. This is the first city in the modern history of Russia, which was built from scratch in a clean field in the Verkhneuslonsky district. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and the President of Tatarstan laid a capsule with a message to the foundation of the building of the first technopark of the future city. It is noteworthy that the message to descendants was recorded not on paper, but on a flash card. Innopolis University is the first federal IT university. Training here takes place in English. Students study for free, receive a scholarship of 30,000 rubles per month! The mayor of the city Yegor Ivanov explained such a high fee by the fact that it is important for us that young people spend all their time on studying, and not thinking about where to earn money for a living.
