Yoshkar-Ola

The tour is carried out individually (only for your company / family), necessarily with a joint departure from Kazan and return to Kazan (not in the format of "get yourself and meet with a guide in Yoshkar-Ola").

Yoshkar-Ola is the capital of Mari El Republic. The main feature of the city center is the abundance of copies of famous architectural monuments. You will visit the cultural and historical complex “Tsarevokshay Kremlin”, created in 2009 on the site of a medieval prison, where you will see the only monument in Russia to Tsar Fyodor Ioannovich, who in 1584 issued a decree on the founding of the city of Tsarevokokshaysk (as Yoshkar-Ola used to be called). Together with the guide, you will walk along the Patriarchal Square and the embankment of Bruges, you will see the complex “12 Apostles”, which is based on the Sheremetyevo Castle in Yurino. Every three hours, 12 apostles, led by Jesus, come out of one tower of the castle and disappear into another tower as they pass through the balcony. You will visit the Republic Square and the Blessed Virgin Mary, visit the most beautiful Annunciation Cathedral, see the Annunciation Tower – a reduced copy of one of the towers of the Moscow Kremlin, Obolensky-Nogotkov Square, where you will see a fascinating spectacle – every hour from the clock on the gallery comes a donkey with an icon. You can visit the National Museum of the Republic of Mari El named after Evseev, where the whole hall is dedicated to pagan rituals, the cheese museum with tasting and master classes, the National Art Gallery, next to which there is a copy of the Tsar Cannon and a monument to Obolensky-Nogotkov, who was the first voivode of Tsarevokokshaisk. And, of course, you will get acquainted with Yoshkin Cat and Yoshkina Cat in the Arkhangelsk Sloboda - a complex of two-storey public buildings stylized in European antiquity.

To Yoshkar-Ola and back you go by comfortable transport (the distance between the center of Kazan and Yoshkar-Ola is about 150 km, the road takes about 2.5-3 hours in each direction, there is a sanitary stop), in the city between the objects you also move by transport, but most of the excursion on the spot is on foot.
