Kazan Kremlin

Description:

If you imagine the city of Kazan with a pearl necklace, then the largest and most beautiful pearl of this necklace will be the Kazan Kremlin - the soul and heart of the city.

A small wooden fortress, built by the Bulgars in the early 11th century, passed through historical milestones, becoming the center of one of the largest cultural, economic, sports and student cities in Russia. Behind the white-stone and brick walls of the gray-haired Kremlin stand towers majestically. Like sages, they hold pictures of the past and could tell a lot if they could speak. Today there are eight, and once there were thirteen. Each with its own story, sometimes tragic. Once inside the fortress on the territory of the Kazan Kremlin, you really feel that you are on the territory of an object protected by UNESCO.

On the excursion you will learn: which cathedral in the early 20th century lost its bell tower; what secret the tower in which the cranked passage is preserved; on what gates you can read the history of our region; why the tower, named after the last Kazan queen, is deviated from its axis by 2 meters; what connection between the Kul Sharif mosque and the blooming lotus flower; what riches the former Junker school keeps; why the stone from which the Kazan Kremlin was built is called wild; what relationship the architect of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior and the Kremlin has in Moscow;
